Who is Beach Bum Life?
In the aftermath of the 2008 economic meltdown, Sandie and I were sitting on our bed trying to figure out what we were going to do. That’s when I blurted out in frustration, “If we’re gonna be poor, let’s be poor at the beach.”
Little did we know how that decision was going to change our lives.
I was pretty lost when we moved here, not really sure how we’d make it. I took up photography which became what I called, “my beach therapy.” Soon I had a small but supportive following on social media that helped us to pay the bills. But more amazing to me was the transformation going on in me at a deeper level. The sense of dread was dissolving. This beach bum life was a new start and was helping me to become the man I always thought I could be.

What started out with me selling photography prints, calendars, and even a coffee table book, soon morphed into a lifestyle and clothing brand celebrating our love of all things beach. We now offer tshirts, caps, hoodies, muggs, and hand made Mrs.Bum jewelry made by Sandie, so we formed a business we call Beach Bum Life, LLC. with a mind to serving the beach bum in all of us.
